Mel left Sesame Workshop in 2014 and his replacement left in 2021. Sherrie Rollins is the current president and she's a Republican, which should explain the heartless and thoughtless behavior by management. Expect the fight to turn ugly as this is a Republican confronting a union.

Families probably won't notice though. They have like 60 years of back catolog giving the capitalist the upperhand. It can be "Seasame Street Throwback Month" until the workers cave and parents would probably love it.

I think it just hasn't been aired around here. There are numerous shows that I've never watched that I'm still vaguely aware of.
