Homebrewing - Beer, Mead, Wine, Cider

100% of the time, even if it's a weekend morning brew. It just doesn't feel right to make beer and not have one.

As arrogant as it is, I've brewed enough beer in my life that I feel it's too easy without the added handicap of being drunk...

Step one of brewing is to drink brew while I brew! But I write everything down in my log to refer to later - measurements, observations, things that go well and things to improve on.

It's great to check that one beer I had hiding in the closet that aged amazingly well. Now I have a hope of repeating it.

never! problem is that i get sloppy right after the first sip. so I'll stay sober until I've pitched the yeast. cleaning is something else though.

The Braumeister says 'Cheers!' once done boiling. It would be rude to leave it hanging and can't very well cheer with water now...

I strictly only drink afterwards. During brewing, I want to keep a sharp mind so that I don't mess anything up, and just stick to the plan.

After everything is done and cleaned up, I'll happily have a few beers and a pizza.

Yes, but I typically don't start drinking right away. I usually brew 2 beers back to back so brew day runs from about 8 till 3. I'm usually multi-tasking with making breakfast or doing things around the house while mashing and getting the first beer to a boil. Then I'll start drinking around 11 or 12 when the first beer is going into the carboy.
