I didn't even realize there was a reboot. Did you watch it? Was it any good?

Yeah same. As a online only person most of these network shows never make it to my radar.
I watched 1 episode and was not compelled to continue
I watched it and thought it was a great show. This bums me out.
I didn't enjoy it, but I'm sure it had some fans.
Aww, this is the first I even heard of it.
Why make a show for nerds and then not advertise it in places nerds are?
They never do.
Amazon's Rings of Firey Circle Ten Lords of Galadriel's Quest (or whatever the LOTR pseudo-Silmarillion show was labeled) sucked and that's the best advertisement I've seen in recent memory for nerd-culture media.
Sounds counter productive but I don't watch new TV shows until they get to season 3 now. It's not worth the hassle anymore.
I've been calling it the Witcher rule. I knew going in that Netflix was going to ruin it somehow, and boy howdy did they spectacularly. If a show can spit out 3 seasons and still sound good to watch, boom I'm in, and I'll start following the hype. They burn me after that, eh I got some fun out of it.
All the big corpos are in that bucket now. Halo? Didn't watch, sounds like I dodged a bullet. New fallout looks interesting, I'll wait to see how it's received. Picard? Barely scraped by the rule, and overall it's a good show, lots of peaks and valleys though. Strange New Worlds sounds like it's going to pass the rule with flying colors.
Haha, yes, similar for me. I'll dive in for a show that interests me with the expectation that it could be cancelled. So given I liked good wife and good fight, I'm watching Elsbeth. The writing is a bit rocky though. I wouldn't be surprised if it's cancelled but I'm still there.
Strange new worlds, I dove in. Picard and discovery, I watched 2 episodes and it didn't grab me so hold off until more seasons. Seems discovery didn't improve but Picard did. I'm not sure if I'll push through.
I have noticed that lots of stuff is being cancelled and lowest common denominator for shows has crept in again. The golden age is well and truly over. What's particularly frustrating is in the absence of ratings weeks, that so many shows end seasons on cliffhangers when theyay be cancelled. They need to start writing for the reality that they may be cancelled. It is fine to have loose threads in the expectation you're renewed but there should be a completion to the story.
Halo gets a lot of hate because it deviates from the source material. It's also a lot better than it has any reason to be, because it deviates from the source material.
Why? I like shows that only last one season. No annoying drag.
Fellow Travelers was great.
What he means is to wait for series that are meant to last multiple seasons making it to at least 3. Not the limited series shows that are only supposed to be one season
I personally watched the show and enjoyed it very much, although I feel I saw the writing on the wall with NBC’s midseason pause, felt like a soft cancel and here is the actual cancel.
It was a background show at best. On in the background while doing something else.
It's getting replaced by a Lil Jon vehicle... it's called "Quantum Skeet".
