Poor Matt Sharpe, clearly part of what made Weezer Weezer, but alas...

Cool! Wasnโ€™t aware of this track. Definitely hear the influences on weezer

yeah, Matt Sharp was in Weezer, he was their OG bassist, but left the band over creative differences with Cuomo and started The Rentals. Had this super hipster minor hit and poof - that was it.

He was on the blue album yeah? Still the best record imo

I think blue and pinkerton? def blue.

@ren @BobbyBandwidth

Definitely Blue, but I quite liked Red too. Don't know Pinkerton that well. Guess I should have another listen.

yeah, Pinkerton is some good emo longing music right there.
Maladroit, while often forgotten, is a fave of mine too. As for Red, I prefer my alternate universe version where I drop the songs sung by the other members, get the Rivers-led songs & b-sides, then build a playlist of those songs.

Thank you for posting this! I loved this song when it came out and nobody seems to remember it. IIRC it came out around the same time as Lump? Maybe it got lost among all the other good music that was out. I remember both were popular in my freshman year of high school.

Lump? Oh my, POTUS! Well a time for music! College rock getting it's due
