pablo603: Honestly I'd buy it just to have some fun from screwing around with its insides and potentially finding a solution. $40 is not a lot and is a crazy deal, even for a damaged unit. Soldering practice kits cost more than that
This one seems like a simple fix. Probably something with the power button as someone here has said already. That would be the first thing I'd check out. Something is probably bent inside or stuff like that causing it to constantly be in contact with whatever it uses to complete the electrical circuit, so the quest 2 thinks it's constantly being held down.
