Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Well, I'm a refugee from Relay for Reddit, and I'm pretty new to all this fediverse thing (but hey, really liking it so far) and this app really captures basically everything I was searching and hoping for - except for one small quality of life implementation, the swipe right to close post, which really improves the overall UX for me. I know this is a developing alpha app, and I will continue to use it regardless, but I wanted to give my 2 cents :)

Sync user here and would also love a swipe to close post and return to list at same scroll position. Would be a nice QOL feature.

Other misc. thing I'm hoping gets added is a setting to toggle the click to collapse comment interaction. I like to hold comment to collapse a thread and it's too easy for me to misclick and collapse chains I'm trying to read at the moment, since single touch collapses it.

Yesyesyes. Fellow Relay user here.

It would so freaking amazing if Dave ported Relay to work with Lemmy once the redditAPI goes up in flames.

But Jerboa is serving very well! Especially after finding and unchecking the "show read posts" box in user settings. I'd prefer Relays way of doing things, where you only dismiss read stuff when you want to, but still a huge improvement.

As for something I would like to see, is image posts opening as an overlay when tapping the thumnail. This is also how relay works and made opening posts that looked interesting very easy without leaving the timeline entirely.
