Sometimes I worry that our leaders know that the Earth is going to be swallowed by our sun, and they know there's nothing we can do about it, so they're not telling anyone and just running out the clock and that's why they aren't really trying to hide the corruption and global indifference to the damage we're doing to the planet and each other.
