I commented elsewhere on this but it's weird that it lies about SteamOS being locked down when you can install most other launchers on it and any game you want (even if some don't work).

Otherwise it's nice to see an alternative that's custom and linux based rather than the bad Windows offerings.

Their CEO is also Kirt McMaster, a name some might recognise from Cyanogen.

Does not evoke confidence for those familiar with Cyanogen.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

While exciting, they have a huge uphill battle here and will no doubt have to do a lot of convincing when it comes to hardware vendors to actually use it.
