When media companies got into the clickbait business there was no longer any incentive at reporting the solution, to anything at all, or naming the perpetrators, only stoking the divisiveness. The solution sells ad space for one day, the problem, ever festering, and ever dangerous, sells ad space forever. That's only right up until the fascists shut down the free press, but by then, those who sought to benefit the most will already have sold out and moved on, their riches made, their damage done. And so it goes.
