This was an interesting idea that probably deserves more recognition across Lemmy.

This "Watch Party" group seeks to watch a movie together with the community, and got some good "live" discussion as the movie was going on. Hopefully they can roll out more movies as time goes on.

For innovation in the Lemmy Community, I think they deserve a "BestOf" recognition.

There's a weird Lemmy bug which follows the wrong links sometimes. I haven't figured it out.

But this link here is definitely the watchparty community. I double-checked right now. Maybe the lemmy bug hit ya while you were trying it out earlier.

Huh, very strange. Seems like the Connect app is showing the wrong link, but I see the right one in the web UI 🤔

I think the Connect App is poorly written in that case, they're replacing "Lemmy.world/c/965504" with "Lemmy.ca/c/965504", which is a totally different post, despite sharing the same number.

Each post is only valid within its own server.

Yes, that's the topic! Makes sense, seems like link handling in Connect needs to be improved.
