This is a really interesting backstory. And context to the event.

I would also encourage people to never do this.

  • Aaron died at age 25 and donated his life savings to the PCRF. If he worked until 65, he could have saved far more.
  • We lost one of the few based people in the US military. He might have never been a Chelsea Manning or an Edward Snowden, but now we'll never know.
  • He could have spent decades doing volunteer work, organizing, going to protests and marches.

This video remarks on how Aaron was labeled mentally unwell. I think this is, in part, because we have access to people's social media accounts now. I can only imagine how other protestors would have been treated if Reddit was around in the 1980s.
