I don't think it's a paradigm changer, because of the risk of losing the loser point. AFAIK, Minny needed both points here (i.e., a loss in OT or regulation would be functionally identical), so they had no reason not to pull.

This is great. It would be more fun if both need that extra point and both pull their goalies.
It would be more fun, but I cant foresee a situation where both teams would pull the goalie at the same time. You're only going to pull him if your team has control of the puck, and at that point when you give up control, it's just a rush back to the red like for a shot on the empty net. Maaaaybe the goalie gets off in time to put a man on for the rush but that's about it.
Yeah and once an icing is called, the goalie has to come back out
I liked that.
