A way to see 3D images without special screens or glasses. Just cross your eyes to overlap the two images.
This is a community for posting or discussing 3D images using the crossview technique. There is another community for the Parallel View technique and also one for Anaglyph 3D using red/blue glasses.

I just found out that the Getty museum released a lot of artwork into the open domain, including quite a few stereographs. These are meant to be viewed with a stereoscope, but I've found they work amazingly well in crossview.
Stereoscopes are designed to view photo pairs in Parallel. Below I have switched the photos around for viewing in cross-view:
