Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Wayland has never worked as well as X for me in KDE5.

I don't expect KDE6 to miraculously make things better, and it looks like I'm correct.

Shame seeing all those gung-ho Wayland shills a few months ago. I guess the people they were shilling to tried Wayland for themselves and found out it's still not a sufficient replacement for X.

I know my opinion will not be popular there but that's what I love about Manjaro: they won't rush the upgrade. I can wait for a couple of months, no worries.
