This is Kuwae, manager of Human Resources and Recruitment & Public Relations here at COVER Corporation.

Looking at all the mess in the Vtuber landscape nowadays, the way Hololive treats their talents seems almost too good to be true. Hope it stays like this for as long as possible.

I’m kinda dubious about this though:

Established in an undisclosed location in Tokyo, with a total of four motion capture systems, is one of the largest of its kind in Japan, estimated to be bigger than ten tennis courts in size.

I mean yes, Tokyo is huge, but… can you really build something as big as 10 tennis courts in “an undisclosed location”?

Tokyo is also in a constant state of building (or at least used to be) so I don't think it's too difficult to hide which specific company is building where (from general public that is). Granted, someone determined could most likely find out where it is but most people won't dig into such details.

Besides, it's not like Cover is the only tech company in need of this kind of facilities which adds a little to the obfuscation aspect.

But are there a lot of tech companies with facilities this big, that (supposedly) have no logo outside? I’m guessing most of them would have no reason to “hide” their identity.

I did miss the mention of everything being on one floor which makes things a bit more difficult to hide. I guess most of the companies with similar needs (even if smaller size) would be other idol-adjunct enterprises.

We can only speculate on where and how it was done but I'd trust Cover to do everything they can to keep the secrecy - especially considering all the weirdos that could endanger the talent otherwise.

I'm not saying you're wrong to doubt their claim but I'd be surprised if they threw it out willy-nilly after all the vtuber drama until now.

I’m not saying they’re lying, I’d just assume that if the studio is actually that big, probably everyone that lives in the area knows what’s happening there.

I’m guessing with all the known identities in Hololive it would be pretty easy for weirdos to spot even the old studio if they wanted, if barely anything happened so far I hope that means they have an efficient security system to protect them.

Wasn't implying you are so I apologize if my reply sounded this way. I too am curious about this wording but hey, they seem pretty sure. I wonder where they could find so much space around Tokyo though...

Holo seems surprisingly drama free as far as doxxing is concerned (as in, I don't think much happened despite all the info one could find) so I guess they're doing something right. I do remember them creating a joint venture to combat this and other types of harassment which could explain lack of (bigger?) issues.

No no, it didn’t sound like you implied that, it’s just that rereading my message it was a bit vague and I wanted to clarify.

Yeah, so far I think the only serious case has been the Mel one, and that was related to her manager so there’s not much that can be done about that. It was also a long time ago I suppose they got better under that side too.
