Oak turned bowls with Reishi mushrooms grown from the “waste” sawdust from the bowl making process.

That's really Kool. Was it easy to cultivate the mushrooms ?

Takes about 5 months to grow to that point. They will grow towards a light source so one can get them to do all sorts of interesting shapes, patterns ect. Thus the Bonsai part of it.

Do you have tips for making a grow box? These are absolutely gorgeous

I modified an acrylic doll case. Drilled a hole in the top and glued filter patch to the top. Had success with just a glass dome as well. Sterilite tub stood up the tall way works as well.

They are so weird. Very Kool. What do they taste like.? Never had them
