I could be wrong but It was sounding like lemmy.ml has been getting overloaded

Lemmy.ml is on and off today, I believe it is continuously being overloaded by users, as well as them migrating to a better server to support people. For now, just assume that the server is overloaded if you cannot access it.
Thanks, I will try again when I get up in the morning
I'm able to access lemmy.ml communities when I'm on my own instance (lemmy.sascamooch.com), but I get a 502 error when I try to access lemmy.ml directly. I'm guessing the web front end is down while the federation services are still working.
The big Lemmy instances have definitely had some big growing pains this week thanks to Rexxit.
Of course, I'm part of the problem LOL But it was back up again today, and all is well.
I had been getting that error too, on and off, seems to be on their end. they did upgrade the server hardware recently so maybe something is being a bit dodgy since then here's a post about it
I can't read that post - "bad gateway error" :-(
aw noo, it's on the lemmy.ml instance ๐ฅด just the info post about their server upgrade
Thanks though! I will try again tomorrow. I don't mind waiting for it to come back... I just wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue.
I had same issue yesterday, it came back after a few mins, although it did work straight away if used a vpn
I really don't want to have to mess with a VPN and honestly don't think I should have to
Not saying that at all & i agree. Just an observation. it's early days & problems are getting fixed, waiting a small while seems to fix most things at the moment, it's already better than a couple of days ago for me
From what i understand it may be a problem with ipv6. I have seen others sat that disabling ipv6 works and others say using a vpn works.
