Disclaimer: I'm an accountant who knows nothing about federation, hosting, coding, etc. Just a really simple old-ish person looking for a good alternative to Reddit. :-)

I've been using Jerboa but out of nowhere today it just stopped working. No matter what I click on, I get a message that says "Value of type java.lang.String cannot be conve....". (It cuts off there.)

Even using a browser, I haven't been able to access Lemmy.ml all day - I get a 502 "bad gateway" error. But sites like isitupdown.com say that Lemmy.ml is UP right now. I tried logging into communities that I have joined through Lemmy.ml, but the logins just hang, and nothing ever happens.

I had also joined Sopuli.xyz early on, so I logged in there to be able to create a post. But none of the communities I joined through Lemmy.ml seem to be connected to my Sopuli.xyz login.

I have slowly been getting the hang of using Jerboa but honestly the whole federation thing is an utter mystery to me and I'm just super confused and bummed right now.

Anyway I guess my question is: Is Lemmy.ml down right now or is it just me? If it's just me, what do I do now?
