Wait till you hear about wheat.

Potatos are roots though!

See how insufferable you sound?

[–] olutukko -1 points 8 months ago (1 children)

No. Potatos are vegetable. You cant apply that kind of logic against the scientifical categories. Wheat is not vegetable. It's a grass plant. Potato might be in the roots, but it's still vegetable

A vegetable is the edible portion of a plant. Are you really picking up the shovel the other guy used to bury themselves?

[–] olutukko 1 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

Ok ok I thought vegetable to be more strict botanical term but apparently its not. But rambling on the comment section doesnt have to be factual and I'm drunk to give me the damn shovel I'mma bury myself deep

Edit: now that I read more vegetable in finnish (kasvis) doesnt put grain in vegetables so F u I was partially right

[–] psycho_driver 9 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Almost all 'vodka' sold in the US is from grain, unfortunately.

[–] olutukko 3 points 8 months ago

I'm glad I live in finland where vodka is made like it is supposed to

Other vegetables require care and specific soil conditions, potatoes just grow anywhere no matter what.

Based plant honestly

What does the backdrop have to do with the text, though?

[–] Everythingispenguins 4 points 8 months ago

You don't see the giant potato farm in the background?

In the earth it grows, and in it we find sustenance and unity 🥔🙏
