That's interesting.

  1. Do you trust that the admin is telling the truth?

  2. What interest does the FBI have in all this?

Either way, if your data is on the internet, safe to say it's not safe.

Yes, I think I can personally assume at least most of what they are saying is true as it's pretty typical for the FBI to go after left wing groups like this. Another recent example: https://theintercept.com/2023/07/06/fbi-social-media-surveillance-zerofox/

Regardless, you are correct when it comes to privacy and security. It is important to note that none of the Fediverse is encrypted AFAIK(1) and server admins can see everything if they so desire. Most don't, but it's there.

(1) Almost forgot about Matrix, which is the most private of accessible messengers. It's worth checking out and you can interloop other messengers into it iirc. :)

Those pesky anarchists out here feeding the hungry and building dual power through community! If people can depend on each other for safety, security and human dignity how will the state continue to maintain its control!

Also, they use violence as a means of protest, only the police can use violence! No fair!

Haha, they're more likely to fight with each other than anyone else, I much prefer these kinds of extremes on the political spectrum. Many of my friends are anarchists and are probably some of the kindest hippies I have ever met.

That's true. The only thing leftists hate as much as conservatives and liberals is other leftists.

(insert Groundskeeper Willie meme)
