Can someone correct me if I am wrong but this is not a 1:1 remake -- this is all new level designs and puzzles, right? Did they get Valve's blessing to charge money for it?

Valve has been pretty chill about letting people make fan games based on their IP as long as they ask Papa Gaben first.
I played it first when it was a free mod and then bought on steam and put on my backlog list because I really enjoyed what I saw back then.
Now, wouldn't be amazing if someone develop, you know, HL3 or at least episode 3? The game script wasn't published some time ago because of copyright expiration? I would pay for it, and I am sure I am not the only one.
I think there were multiple mod teams working on their own ideas for half life 3 but I’ve given up looking up their progress.
Black Mesa changed Xen from a boring/annoying part of the game thst I allways skip to a absolutely stunning and exciting part of the game that I look forward to every time
