I've been using a regular size Brilliant Cut for the last few years, but I also have a Pucc as my CBD only grinder.
Both are fantastic grinders, but the BCG is definitely a cut above.
This is for discussion on dry herb vaporizers and showing off your setups.

How are you finding the Pucc in comparison? I've also got a standard BCG, but thinking about getting a Pucc for CBD too
The Pucc is definitely a step down from the BCG, but a major step up from your typical head shop grinder. If you can get a Pucc for a good price, it makes for a great CBD/backup grinder.
I actually have put Pucc's as a gift for a while since they could be had for ~$30 and they were way better than the grinders most of my friends were using.
Yeah they seem to be much nicer than anything with threads. BCG has converted me. Older grinders always got stuck in the threads
I use whatever POTV sent me during their 420 sale. I need to clean out my old one that sat with some old bud in it for years though..
I have been using a large Brilliant Cut grinder with rubberbands around it for extra grip.
I’ve been rocking a Kannastor Gr8r for the past 2 years. Got it at a pretty sizeable discount from a dispensary that was closing out so I really don’t have any complaints.
I just have a standard cheap plastic grinder. I've owned many grinders over the years and I am sceptical about spending big money on one. Maybe this thread will convince me otherwise!
I really recommend high quality ones. Not only do you get a nicer grind but you can customize the grind you want like on the brilliant cut and they feel 10000% better to use along with lasting forever
I do believe the grind and build quality will be better but I'm just not sure how much it will enhance my vaping experience relative to value for money. Maybe I should just drop the cash and find out!
I've got pretty finely tuned taste buds and the difference in taste and harshness between a good and a shitty grinder is pretty substantial imo. If you consume weed daily or at least very regularly, it's worth the investment imo, especially if you factor in that a good grinder will last you decades. If you just toke every now and then, probably not worth it.
It depends entirely on the device you're using. Higher quality grinders tend to use stronger steel metal which holds a "blade" longer so it actually cuts the herb as opposed to simply smushing/tearing the herb.
Over time the cheap grinders wear out, and the really cheap ones start flaking metal or paint into the ground up herb which you really don't want to smoke.
Additionally there are different types of grind. A fine grind is great for conduction style vaporizers (like the Pax) where the oven heats up and the heat is physically transferred through the load of herb. Fine grinds help for cloud chasing and a more thorough extraction.
For other vaporizers like convection style desktops, a loose fluffy grind like the Santa Cruz Shredder or the Brilliant Cut grinder (with a coarse or medium grind plate) help produce fluffier grinds that help enhance the vapor flavor during conduction extraction.
It may not make your vaping experience better, but man does it make grinding way easier. I tend to grind up at least 2 or 3 grams at a time as a heavy user,I can do all that at one time with the bcg large and it's easy (compared to all the other grinders I've used). Feels nice, looks nice, I end up just playing with it half the time.
I would just get a regular sized one that's factory seconds, those are like 30% off cause you can't pick color and they might have a cosmetic defect, I can't even tell why mine was factory seconds tho.
Ive had the same cheap metal grinder for years. Its purple and says "chromium crusher"
I've got a Herb Ripper and it works great. It was super expensive to get here in Canada, but worth it for me because I'm lazy and can throw it into the dishwasher to clean it, since it's stainless steel.
I use a HOJ Life KLIP grinder. Love it!
Old black leaf for CBD bud, gleichdick for THC. The gleichdick is super nice, bit expensive for sure but I'm very happy with it! Probably not gonna be produced for very long anymore though, according to the dude who answered my inquiry on insta because many of the options were sold out.
I actually just got a completely stainless steel one from aliexpress for 27EUR. It's a little small but is so weighty. It shreds really well and for me the 304 SS is peace of mind. I don't love the idea of ingesting extra paint or aluminium particles. I think the model is sold under many brand names. I think the one I bought was Honeypuff.
