[Scotto] Knick and Clippers originally had trade talks for Paul George at the NBA Draft. NY was considering Obi Toppin, Grimes, Fournier, and three first-round picks in exchange for George. After [Toppin was traded], RJ Barrett’s name was brought up briefly by Clippers.

Big if true. As a clippers fan I would be totally onboard to make a cut rather sooner than later.

No doubt George is fantastic, but how many games / season is he good for now?

Not many games per season these days... and to be honest, the Leonard and George "era" was underwhelming at best. For me there is not much emotional detachment.

That sounds like a good deal on paper, but those firsts had to have been those same heavily protected non-lotto picks the Knicks have been trying to trade all year.

Rough for PG, this team is in limbo with all their cap tied up with a few older injury prone guys.
