No apology: muhammed was a pedopwhile. The fictional christian/catholic god is, too, for raping mary as a child. These religions are full of bad examples of morality, criminal examples.

If religious people were good at dealing with reality, they would be out there worshipping their families instead of some invisible sky wizard.

The usual argument for it is that it didn't cross standards of these times. But then why it sets standards of living for the modern era? Librarians send old schoolbooks to recycling now and then to buy recent ones, law books that aren't correct anymore are also dropped into a chipper. Time doesn't stand still, and they couldn't have seen him if not for a trickery of trapping a lightning bolt in the wires and recording an image of a human being that is too a bad thing. It seems like either a sin or a breach of the time itself.

Guy is maybe an asshole to call them out like this, but there's really too much of archaic paradoxes and double-thinking making it hypocritical. Why do the lands that saved, improved, gave us math, science, art from the shit-eatery of the Dark times are still carrying these centuries old ideas and don't embrace their prominent past of being ambassadors of the progress? I can't understand religion at all.

I can't understand religion at all.

Times are tough, have always been tough, especially if you’re not rich or a genius. But for some simple administrative competency and elegant speaking skills you can make any town supply you with housing/food/amenities and all you have to do is put your hand on their heads and cast a spell (results may vary)

Instruction unclear. Cock's stuck in the bag of sarin in the Tokyo metro.

I'm more surprised with how people grow to collect numerous contradictions between what they see and can measure - and what they believe in, taking different tales literally and worshipping them. That constant doublethink should be really exhausting to them imho. Without a safeguard of self-reflection, it leaves a vulnerability to believe in any new irrational thing handed to them.

I kinda like it for many things like creating strong-knit communities and setting some basic guidelines in older times, but it can also lead to a harsh joke I started this comment with, or something even worse.
