I just love how bright and vibrant the flowers are on zucchini.

My kids have discovered the fun debate about what is a fruit and what is a vegetable. My wife gave them the definition “if it forms from a flower, that’s a fruit.” I hadn’t heard that one before! So I guess Zukes are fruit? The other definition I knew for a long time is “if it has seeds inside, it’s a fruit.” So check on both of those.

I love these flowers. They have a nice, delicate, fleshy quality. You can eat them too. They add nice color to a salad.

Hold up..... I can eat em?!?!?!

Now that you got me thinking about it I don't know the difference between fruits and veggies. And what about legumes? Are they in their own separate category?

It’s not a very important distinction in my mind. But yeah I think legumes are a totally different thing.
