I guess there are some cities where it could be used but 95% of the nation there isn't anywhere you can ride one legally.

What are you talking about as of right now only LA, SF, NY and Honolulu ban scooters of all cities in the entire US. They are littered across my city in the thousands.

I'm talking of the total land. They're illegal on most non-urban roads in the US. Hell I live in a suburb of a major city and I can't ride one, let alone rural places.

In my experience with e-scooters, the fewer folding points you have, the better! This includes the base of the stem, which most e-scooters fold by. These are WEAK POINTS and DO break.

I would hate for my folding deck e-scooter to have a failure at the fold.
