You've done a fantastic job on panel lining and edge highlighting. They look amazing!

Thanks. I’ve painted for a while before Battletech, but I started getting really interested in bright 90s style colors at the same time I was getting into Battletech. The chunky CGL mechs were very good minis to learn how to really push the highlights.
I've never played the table top but I have played a lot of the computer game. I've heard it was a pretty good port over from the table top, if you haven't played it yet I would suggest it tremendously. I recognize all of the models you've painted there and I really appreciate that lol. Good job on the paint as well!
I’ve played a little bit of the 2018 strategy game, but just haven’t had the time to commit brainpower to it recently.
I did play Mechwarrior 2 back in the day.
The Battletech game is a very good port, it's just about faithful, but with one important rule addition, and that getting shot at removes a point against the to-hit penalty. It makes mechs being able to be hit if there's enough concentrated fire on it (which makes sense, if you think about it), and lessens the dragginess of the table-top game (3025 L1 games especially so).
Yea that is a crucial rule in the game for sure, my general strategy in the early game is to pepper with light mechs and then come in with the heavier payloads. So it makes you think about positioning a lot more on both defense and offense.
Nice, I love the paint jobs you did on them! As someone mentioned, the edge highlights are really nice, makes the mechs really pop.
