I’m really looking forward to this game, especially since it’s coming to gamepass.

Persona 5 was a surprise hit for me and quickly became one of my favourite games.

I couldn’t get into persona 4 though, as I was really missing the style that 5 has.

I hope they put some good effort into the visuals of this remake. The trailer makes it look close to persona 5 but it still looks like a bit of a step down.

I don't think it'll top p5 for most. It's drowning in style. I did love p4 golden back in the day though so it's not like it won't be great. P5 is just THAT good

Never played these ones before. They any good for someone who likes RPGs but isn't huge on turn based battles?

Persona is Turn Based battles. But the battles are very dynamic and action looking. If you like a solid story and aren't afraid of the imagery of death and suicide then Persona 3 Reload would be a great entry point into the Persona franchise.

Persona 4 Golden is a bit dated, but a much happier game, it has a lot of "Scooby Doo" vibes with the whole murder mystery, but with a lot of themes of coming to terms with yourself.

Persona 5 Royal is hands down the best of the 3 Modern Persona games. It's flashy, flamboyant, and has absolute BANGERS for Music. And the theme of Rebelling from societal norms to call out injustice just... chefs kiss Atlus really knows when to put out a banger of a motif for a game.

Is the 3rd one on gamepass? If not you think 5 is a good entry point as well?

I believe Persona 3 Portable is on Gamepass. Portable getting ported to PC/Xbox was definitely a poor choice by Atlus, but... If we are getting P3R, then I'm "OK" with it. But Persona 5 Royal is also an excellent option to start with!

I started with original Persona 5.

The turn based battles are really only half the game so I would say it’s worth giving persona 5 a shot if you have gamepass and are prepared to potentially sink 70 hours into a game.

I don’t like turn based rpgs either but I loved the battle system in this game. You might be surprised.

If the 5th one is on gamepass I'll give it a go. I just can't justify sinking $60+ into a game I don't know if I'll like these days

It is on Gamepass! I'm not huge on turn-based RPGs and I loved Persona 5. The story and the characters are fantastic, though it takes about 20 hours for it all to really get going. It took me about 110 hours to finish, so it'll keep you busy if you end up liking it.

I'm fine with long games. Once I'm done with Diablo 4 I think this might be my next game!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Excited to give this game a try. I've wanted to try the Persona series for a while.
