Told someone their pet rat was cute at a train station the other day and it so clearly made them extremely happy, do yall get much heat for having pet rats, they really are cute creatures.

In a world that considers dogs and cats okay, and birds already out on the "weirdo" spectrum, then yeah, some people can give you shit for it. Especially those who have issues with wild rats / mice. I have even heard of people getting flak for owning a pidgeon as a pet.
