I promise not to spam this community with random pics, but I adore common blues, and was delighted when I stumbled upon this. I somehow never see them in pairs. I figured I'd share!

If those random pics are photographs that you have taken of insects, then I don't like this promise!! ๐Ÿ˜œ

That's a really good capture. I am guessing that the blue one is the male and the brown one the female, right? I wouldn't have thought that these were the same species!

Yes, the males got all the fancy colors โ™ฅ (although the ventral sides are pretty on both).

I hope to see more this year. There is a real nice spot behind a supermarket close by, where they installed a hive (protected in a cage) and let the grass and wildflowers grow. It was the hot mating area for bugs of all sorts last time I went. We're just out of a heat wave, though, so I'll have to see how the place took to the blistering sun...

And if you don't mind my own pics... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Whoah! It was pretty from above but the spots paired with the powdery blue wings is next level. Great shots, too!

Living for this kind of thing, please do post more if it strikes you to do so!

I'm all out of butterflies. Do you accept damselflies?

Absolutely! I love them and their dragonfly brethren, and always anticipate their emergence: go get those mosquitoes (and other things) little dudes!
