No they don’t
Tim Cook said that during an earnings call. I don’t know if it means much for the industry, but I don’t have any doubts that that fact is true.
Maybe they're being used as paperweights. 🤷🏻♂️
Very possible. I don’t think there’s a general convincing use case for the Vision Pro currently. It’s probably very impressive, but too cumbersome to use regularly for things you can do elsewhere.
I could make a more convincing case for the Quest 3 given that it can do everything that matters that the Vision can do just with not quite as good passthrough quality and slightly lower resolution; but it's serviceable and the price makes it a good productivity thing if you need to do a lot of multitasking. Infinite screen space for the price of $500; for basic office work it would be cheaper using those than a typical PC. And you can use a tracked keyboard if the passthrough isn't good enough for you (IMO it's the bare minimum needed to see the keys currently).
Also the fact there's actually software for it. The hardware doesn't mean much if there's nothing to run on it, and from what I've seen the Vision Pro's software offering is weak AF because they wanna do their own shit instead of just being part of the already existing ecosystem.
Source?
The article contains videos. There are examples of apps that some of the companies have released.
Seems like, yes, they do.
