I find this decision strange and confusing. Hoprfully this won't impact the box office too much.

This seems to be standard practice these days. The gap between cinema and physical media seems to be getting shorter.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire hits digital (in the US at least) on Tuesday and that's only been in the cinemas for 46 days.
