Hey guys, I'm starting the research phase before I have seeds, but could use some direction on where to find good advice.

I've done hydro and aeroponic vegetables, (and have had terrible luck with veggies in soil) so I thought I'd try something like a DWC with just 1 plant in a 5-gal bucket, since I have all the equipment for that.

I have seen there are plenty of different places to get info, but as a novice, I won't really recognize bad advice when I see it. 😅

Thanks in advance!

A lot of the techniques are just basic horticulture techniques, but I started off reading This grow bible was quite the fascinating read. It is extremely in depth and will cover stuff you don’t need. But it covers stuff like lighting requirements and what each wavelength does to the plant, how to guerilla grow, how and where sativa and indicas originated, what land races are. It talks about living soil, organic growing, salt nutrient growing. Talks about timings for seedlings stages, veg and flower phase. Talks about topping, fimming, supercropping. How to do extracts like BHO, RSO, bubble hash.

Theres others, and I don’t know if they are better or not, but I liked this one.

Thanks - I've done a bit of gardening successfully, but this is an intersection of 2 of my biggest hobbies! Knowing that there are overlaps between that and this will help me out a lot.

Thanks for the title, too! (Even if I'm not going to use everything right away, I'd like to have the ability to pivot without losing days to researching something before implementing it)

Tomatoes and cannabis grow really similar and react to stresses the same way as well. Really good analog to try some techniques on.

Oh I found all the extra stuff fascinating, I’ll never guerilla grow, but knowing how it was done was awesome. It is unfortunately dated a little on the lighting iirc, doesn’t account for any of the new led quantum Boards or anything like that since they weren’t available when it came out. Maybe it’ll get updated again sometime? But you can also google some great comparisons with some key words you’ll come across in your travels as well.
