So the M stands for moderator, but what about the OD?

I am pretty sure that MOD means MODerator. So MOD is just the first 3 letters of moderator.

So "mod" would be short for "moderator." Capitalizing it as "MOD" would indicate that it's an acronym. You wouldn't write "APP" instead of "app" when you mean to say "application," right?
