Looks awesome. One question though: Can vinyls really be that bent? I feel like this is a bit exaggerated.

Thanks! They can be, but I'm not sure they'd actually play 😅 Yeah it's a bit much - I felt like I needed to exaggerate it a bit for something to actually "happen" in the video.

I own over 2000 records and they definitely can warp like this. Usually when mailed incorrectly or left someplace hot like a car or mail delivery van. There are various vinyl flattening repair kits around that aim to fix issues like these. A buddy of mine has one that’s basically a pouch with the internals of an electric blanket and some heavy weights to sandwich the record between. He says it works pretty well but there’s still a slight warp even in the best cases.

And they do still play being this warped?

Yeah they'll play. Terrible for DJing with though. The warp can affect the sound at times when it's visible like in the animation but you can play them
