Man I can’t get into this game and it bums me out. I bought it when the 2.0 overhaul dropped so I didn’t have any issues to deal with but whenever I boot it up it feels like I’m making myself play it and I’m not enjoying it.

Same, largely. I love the look and feel of everything but...

I dunno. I just struggle to remain engaged in it. And I can't decide on a char build either for some reason.

My friend group all said they stopped at the part where you rescue a certain somebody from a BD den, too. Which they said it just felt meh.

I'm slowly trying to force myself through it.

I would not worry to much about build post 2.0. You can respec perks at any time and if you have phantom liberty you can get all stats to 15 which basically allows you to do almost any build type as level 20 stuff is mostly just min/max really and does not effect gameplay much. If your not sure on the starting path that only effects a few interactions. From what I can tell corpo rat is likely the easiest as it tends to have options to pay less or get paid more while the nomad one has a more rp effect in that you are likely the least sleezy of the backgrounds and your relationship with a major starting guy is more where you are the impressive on. city start is basically equal between the two. you and the guy are pretty much the same as you grew up together and it gets some but not as many special options for discounts or free things or such.

Are you focusing on the main story? I felt that if you treat it as more of a linear game, and just go directly from mission to mission, it's quite enjoyable. There are some great side missions, but the other open world stuff never clicked with me.

Yeah that’s all I’ve done so far. I think it might just be the clutter of the city and it being an fps game. I started giving it more thought after this post and the environment almost makes me feel claustrophobic.

That's a shame. I was keen on cp77 ever since its teaser trailer, but the troubles at launch made me wait. I still haven't played it because it still doesn't seem like a stable project.

I think what I really want is another good Deus Ex.
