Tilting legs like the ErgoDox (self.mechanicalkeyboards)

Hi there,

Does anyone have suggestions on where I could by legs similar to those found on the ErgoDox that could be attached directly to a pcb (glue or M2 screws)? Looking for a tenting mechanism for a new custom board.

Note: I’m aware ErgoDox sells the tenting system independently for US$25, however I would then need a way to attach these to the board. They don’t state what the thread size is, etc.

I don't have helpful info, I'm just here for the pretty pictures, but you might be able to contact their customer service and ask, I can't imagine it's like a huge company so you might get a helpful answer.

Already done. They sell the legs, but they won’t sell the fittings that are used to attach the legs to the case, as these come built into the chassis.

Ah, okay. I figured they might tell you the threading. You could resort to a thread pitch gauge, but that's rather fiddly. I hope you're able to find an answer that's helpful to you! :)

Yeah, unfortunately also there is a interlock/cog teeth system so you can lock the legs in place. One side of the cog is on what you can buy. The other side is on the part that it built into the keyboard. So realistically the only way to get the full thing is to crack open an ErgoDox and take/break them out.

Yeah thats kinda frustrating. Makes sense, but does make them unhelpful to you
