Something needs to be done. As a middle class American I could no longer afford healthcare after Obamacare happened. My old policy was 600 a month for my father and I, and was good coverage with reasonable deductibles. I tried to get a new policy for my wife and I, and it was going to be 2k a month and insane high deductibles and a horrible network.
Obamacare did not increase the cost of healthcare. Healthcare costs have risen constantly for more than 50 years. Analysis shows that Obamacare slowed the rate of increase in cost of it did anything. What it did achieve was allow millions more people to be covered by health insurance.

Though I understand what you're trying to say, you are still paying the medical costs through taxes. It's just that this is most likely lower in costs than the post you responded to.
