I honestly thought the joke was them filling the page with ads, like that's what we can expect from reddit now. Turns out the Onion just has a shit ton of ads. 😞

Why are you raw dogging? Get an adblocker and set your dns to one too, like dns.adguard.com. At this point in time if you don’t you’re just wanting ads
