The school would just keep charging the same and pocket the difference. The joys of for-profit education and/or underfunded public schools!

If they're anything like my high school, they have a deal with the photographer. They'd photograph basketball games at a reduced rate and in return the students had to use that studio if they wanted to be in the yearbook
