I want my day mildly ruined, not completely ruined. Please remember to refrain from reposting old content. If you post a post from reddit it is good practice to include a link and credit the OP. I'm not about stealing content!

It's just good to get something in this website for casual viewing whilst refreshing original content is added overtime.

Well i am certainly not using reddit on my tablet anymore.

Well, the official Lemmy App also requires Android 8+. Again, no support for my not so old phone...

Might be old in modern times, but I dont want to have to buy a new phone every 5 years. Especially if it is still working very well...

Also OP made the point that the official Reddit App requires Android 8+, so it's the same thing

Android 8 came out 6 years ago. And if your device is locked to Android 8 that means it probably shipped with 6 or 7 which means it's a 7 or 8 year old phone at this point. I have trouble believing a 6-8 year old android phone is still working very well.

You are right, it is from 2017. Beside not being able to use Android 8+ I have no issues with it

Not to rag on you, but do consider security risks associated with using an unsupported OS. Take care.
