It strikes a perfect balance between nostalgia and improvement over the old show. They kind of nailed it.

So kinda like Netflix's Voltron? They really struck a good balance there too.

I missed out on the old Voltron and didn't know there was a new one. I'm not the right person to answer that question, sorry.
