I don't think there is a question. There's nothing that points to the lgbt community being inherently more likely to commit sex crimes than heterosexuals or any other marginalized group. The right needed a new scapegoat after they had finally gutted roe vs wade and they had an easy target. The exact same tactic was used by the nazis when they focused in on Jewish people and since republican organizations and leaders keep quoting Hitler, collecting his belongings, or citing his influence, it's not hard to see where this came from.

That to me is a much bigger question that should be investigated. Why do people fall into extremist cults? Why are people so easily hypnotized by political leaders into fanatical states. How do people get collectively driven to genocide?

And then when we are done with that, we can open an investigation into why right wing politicians are orders of magnitude more likely to commit sex crimes? I believe I saw where Republican politicians are 6 times more likely to be arrested with a prostitute.

Its almost as if the actual sex predators formed a political group, draped themselves in the American flag holding a Bible, and picked a vulnerable community to direct the publics anger. That would certainly be convenient if you were a child sex predator. Hrmm.
