I'm baffled at the fact that half of the idle games I play don't have any offline progression yet they require you to stare at numbers for countless hours. The point of idles, or at least I was to much of a baboon to think it was that way, was to be something you can supervise for a couple of minutes at a time, and then either let it run while you do other stuff or come back later. I still don't understand why browsers for example, haven't for example added an option to whitelist a tab to let in run while not in focus. I've seen the posts on Brave, I've made my own too. Or why most incremental have the offline progression only unlocked late altogether. I don't want to have a browser window constantly opened at the corner of my screen or buy an extra monitor just for this.
Am I the only one with this issue, or is this some sort of quirk present in this niche genera of videogames?

Idle games annoy me. You are using power and working your devices processor just to multiply numbers over and over. It's really a waste.

There are a few idle games that have more going on. I really enjoyed Trimps on PC. Most of the idle games I've played on mobile are just trying to serve you ads. Well, I guess that is true for most mobile games.
