Note that you’re not getting 4K 120Hz on AMD on Linux atm. It requires HDMI 2.1 and amdgpu won’t get acceptance from HDMI forum anytime soon. For that you need DP 1.4 -> HDMI 2.1 converter.
Is there a good reason they won't get acceptance?
Good reasons no, it’s about hiding HDMI spec and protecting some shit DRM
AMD wants to open-source the driver, the HDMI Forum doesn't like that
