Looked like for a week last season he was someone Denver, Detroit and Boston slept on, but it appears he is not going to pan out

I’m surprised by this. Magic are going nowhere, might as well give him some playing time along the rest of the young players.

People say this everytime a team gives up on Bol, maybe he's just not a meaningful nba player

You might be right on this. His size always make people think that he has to be great. Maybe he just isn't

If a team with nothing to play for and had a front row seat to what he was capable of, decided to waive him arbitrarily, that says a lot already.

He had some "Moses Brown" moments but overall he's just not good.

Very true. I think the idea of Bol Bol is better than the real thing.

He only got playing time early in the season when we were the most injured team in the league. Dude is awful. Only surprising to people who haven't seen him play lol.
