Hey folks, the title says it all... I am on the brink to open my own Lemmy instance and I'm looking for a name. I already own the following unused domains:

-lemmy.pw -voom.social -zeebo.social

Maybe you can even suggest a completely different name? The instance will be a general one.

I like the names seent.it or seent.online. I probably would have picked one of those if I hadn't decided on sedd.it for my instance.

Oh that’s yours? I was just on the map site to try and find an instance near me and liked your name so I tried to sign up and your signup form says I need to know you.

And now I’m sad.

Out of curiosity, how’s you score a .it domain? I have one, but only because I have family in the EU. IIRC, it was a pain in the pass to get, had to jump through a bunch of hoops to “authenticate” being in the EU.

With GoDaddy. I guess they use some kind of broker/ holding company.
