We've moved from the era of 'The Simpson's did it', to the era of 'South Park did it'
(self.showerthoughts)
A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted, clever little truths, hidden in daily life.
Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts: 1
If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.
Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report the message goes away and you never worry about it.
@HootinNHollerin very annoying when transphobes uses south park as an excuse for their transphobia...
Im pretty sure there is documented proof of south park converting people to the excat opposite ideology.
Yeah, people have misunderstood south Park from the beginning. They can be 100% who the joke is on but also convinced that Matt and Trey are with them
Always happens with satire, especially the good kind and the ignorant can't see past the surface level.
Queue videos of guys trying to start GamerGate2.0 posting video essays about Sweet Baby Inc with fucking Helldivers 2 as example footage of a game that’s “not woke” 🤭
Nobody tell them, it’s too funny to watch
It's not woke!! Helldivers 1 and 2 is just a fantasy game based loosely on my favorite movie: Starship Troopers. And if you think Starship Troopers is some sort of woke propaganda, then I can't help you. Don't try to ruin a perfectly good game with pandering wokeness just like you all tried to do with Star Trek.
Someday the rest of the eighties babies are going to have to sit down with the 88s and have a talk about giving bad faith actors camouflage.
It's now. Don't put birthdates in your username in the first place, we're millennials dammit we actually learned this in school.
Actually it's in honor of my brother's birthday because he actually was 13 when I started using the account name. (I am a few years younger) I didn't learn about the HH thing until many years later, but I keep it anyway because thinking about my brother makes me happy whenever I notice it.
What is with so many people on Lemmy suddenly deciding it's their job to police the internet? I haven't seen that behavior in months and I've suddenly seen it a lot just within the last week or so.
Whatever you say, dogwhistle boy.
Don't reply, the comment wasn't for you, it was about you.
Stop me, cryptofash disgracing the name of a perfectly good conspiracy theorist.
What are you on about? Wtf cryptofash?
Including Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
