I've always held the belief that music wasn't better in the past, people just have survivorship bias. What are your genuine favorite albums of the last few years?

Personally, I'm loving The Rime of Memory by Panopticon, Ants from Up There by Black Country, New Road, and Hellfire by Black Midi.

UK post-punk is having a huge moment right now. Hellfire by Black Midi has probably been my favorite release of the past twenty years. If you haven't listened to it yet, check it out.

Edit: just saw the OP specifically names this album haha. If you haven't listened to Yard Act's Where's My Utopia? album that came out a few weeks ago, give that a listen. It's really good. I get a lot of Plastic Beach-era Gorillaz mixed with Viagra Boys from it
