Iirc EA lost the exclusive game rights after Battlefront 2 (2017).

That's also why Ubisoft is making an open-world star wars game

I hate EA as much as the next guy... But I think I'd rather have them make a Star Wars game over Ubisoft

EA are still making Star Wars games (like Fallen Order); the loss of exclusivity just means other studios are finally allowed to make things too. Everybody wins!

More specifically disney didnt renew thd deal, and the deal runs out here soon.
